The municipality of Pollença lies in the province of Balearic Islands, on the island of Mallorca: according to official INE figures for 1 January 2025 it is home to 17,807 people, over about 150.3 km².
With about 118 inhabitants per km², it combines a medium-sized town with residential districts, farmland and business areas. Of the 42 municipalities in the province of Balearic Islands with at least 5,000 inhabitants, it is number 15 by population.
As the crow flies it lies about 46 km north-east of Palma de Mallorca, the provincial capital.
