Tuineje is a municipality in Spain, in the province of Las Palmas, on the island of Fuerteventura. On 1 January 2025 it had 16,834 inhabitants according to the INE municipal register (padrón), over an area of about 275.6 km².
Population density is about 61 per km²: a partly rural municipality, with a main town and scattered villages or developments. Of the 30 municipalities in the province of Las Palmas with at least 5,000 inhabitants, it is number 19 by population.
As the crow flies it lies about 140 km east of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, the provincial capital.
