Salt is a municipality in Spain, in the province of Girona, in Catalonia. On 1 January 2025 it had 34,491 inhabitants according to the INE municipal register (padrón), over an area of about 6.4 km².
With about 5,389 inhabitants per km², it is one of the most densely populated areas in the country, part of a large metropolitan area. Of the 35 municipalities in the province of Girona with at least 5,000 inhabitants, it is number 6 by population.
