The municipality of Oiartzun lies in the province of Gipuzkoa, in the Basque Country: according to official INE figures for 1 January 2025 it is home to 10,480 people, over about 56.7 km².
With about 185 inhabitants per km², it combines a medium-sized town with residential districts, farmland and business areas. Of the 34 municipalities in the province of Gipuzkoa with at least 5,000 inhabitants, it is number 20 by population.
