Sanxenxo is a municipality in Spain, in the province of Pontevedra, in Galicia. On 1 January 2025 it had 18,016 inhabitants according to the INE municipal register (padrón), over an area of about 44.9 km².
Density, at about 401 inhabitants per km², is that of a populous urban area, with residential districts, services and businesses. Of the 36 municipalities in the province of Pontevedra with at least 5,000 inhabitants, it is number 13 by population.
As the crow flies it lies about 17 km west of Pontevedra, the provincial capital. The nearest major city is A Coruña, about 110 km away.
