Pinoso is a municipality in Spain, in the province of Alicante, in the Valencian Community. On 1 January 2025 it had 8,523 inhabitants according to the INE municipal register (padrón), over an area of about 126.1 km².
Population density is about 68 per km²: a partly rural municipality, with a main town and scattered villages or developments. Of the 61 municipalities in the province of Alicante with at least 5,000 inhabitants, it is number 45 by population.
As the crow flies it lies about 43 km west of Alicante, the provincial capital. The nearest major city is Valencia, about 130 km away.
