Lalín is a municipality in Spain, in the province of Pontevedra, in Galicia. On 1 January 2025 it had 20,292 inhabitants according to the INE municipal register (padrón), over an area of about 328.3 km².
Population density is about 62 per km²: a partly rural municipality, with a main town and scattered villages or developments. Of the 36 municipalities in the province of Pontevedra with at least 5,000 inhabitants, it is number 9 by population.
As the crow flies it lies about 47 km north-east of Pontevedra, the provincial capital. The nearest major city is A Coruña, about 80 km away.
