Alaior, on the island of Menorca, is part of the province of Balearic Islands. The municipality covers about 109.3 km² and had 10,217 inhabitants on 1 January 2025.
With about 93 inhabitants per km², it combines a medium-sized town with residential districts, farmland and business areas. Of the 42 municipalities in the province of Balearic Islands with at least 5,000 inhabitants, it is number 25 by population.
As the crow flies it lies about 128 km east of Palma de Mallorca, the provincial capital.
