The municipality of Ordizia lies in the province of Gipuzkoa, in the Basque Country: according to official INE figures for 1 January 2025 it is home to 10,815 people, over about 5.1 km².
With about 2,121 inhabitants per km², it is one of the most densely populated areas in the country, part of a large metropolitan area. Of the 34 municipalities in the province of Gipuzkoa with at least 5,000 inhabitants, it is number 19 by population.
As the crow flies it lies about 31 km south-west of San Sebastián, the provincial capital. The nearest major city is Bilbao, about 65 km away.
