Montgat is a municipality in Spain, in the province of Barcelona, in Catalonia. On 1 January 2025 it had 12,879 inhabitants according to the INE municipal register (padrón), on a very small, densely built-up territory.
Of the 134 municipalities in the province of Barcelona with at least 5,000 inhabitants, it is number 76 by population.
As the crow flies it lies about 13 km north-east of Barcelona, the provincial capital.
