Beniel is a municipality in Spain, in the province of Murcia, in the Region of Murcia. On 1 January 2025 it had 11,582 inhabitants according to the INE municipal register (padrón), over an area of about 9.9 km².
Density, at about 1,170 inhabitants per km², is that of a populous urban area, with residential districts, services and businesses. Of the 37 municipalities in the province of Murcia with at least 5,000 inhabitants, it is number 29 by population.
As the crow flies it lies about 15 km north-east of Murcia, the provincial capital. The nearest major city is Valencia, about 170 km away.
